The optimal night's sleep for you 

Did you know that 1 in 4 Dutch people struggle with sleep problems? A good night's sleep is essential for your health. To improve or optimize your sleep, we have listed a number of tips: 

  • Products with 5-HTP and Valerian can contribute to a good and deep sleep. 5-HTP (also called Griffonia ) is the precursor of the substance 'Serotonin '. Also called the 'feel- good ' substance. From Serotonin you make Melatonin (=sleep hormone). With 5-HTP you ensure sufficient serotonin and thus also sufficient melatonin. Valerian contributes to normal resistance to stress* and helps to relax body and mind*. It also helps to promote sleep readiness*, supports night's rest* and helps to wake up refreshed*. 

  • Try not to consume caffeinated beverages after 4pm (coffee, cola, matcha , black tea) and limit artificial light after sunset (it affects your circadian rhythm). Tip: you can put your phone in evening mode, and even replace blue light with red light (which causes melatonin production). How to do that?
